Quantus miners: an overview

Last updated: 7 October 2026

The miners that support the quantus algorithm (PeakMiner, SRBMiner-Multi, BzMiner and WildRig NG), how they differ, and how to pick one safely.

What Quantus asks of a miner

Quantus is mined with the quantus algorithm, Proof of Work on the Poseidon2 hash, run on GPUs. Support for it is newer than for old hash algorithms, so the list of miners is short and it pays to run a current release.

The miners we document

  • PeakMiner: NVIDIA and AMD GPUs on Windows and Linux, a 2% dev fee on Quantus and built-in pool failover; the PeakMiner setup guide covers the command line and TLS.
  • SRBMiner-Multi: NVIDIA, AMD and Intel GPUs on Windows and Linux, with a 2% dev fee on quantus from version 3.6.7 (Intel Arc from 3.7.0); the SRBMiner setup guide covers flags and TLS.
  • BzMiner: NVIDIA and AMD GPUs and Intel B-series cards on Windows and Linux, a 2% dev fee on quantus and a built-in web dashboard; the BzMiner setup guide covers the command line and TLS.
  • WildRig NG: NVIDIA, AMD and Intel Arc GPUs on Windows and Linux, with a 1% dev fee on quantus, the lowest of the four; the WildRig NG setup guide covers the command line and TLS.
  • Others may add the algorithm over time; whichever you run, the pool connection details are identical, only the flag names differ.

Picking between them

On identical hardware the honest way to choose is to run each for a full day and compare the DASHBOARD average, not the miner's own console readout (consoles measure attempts, the pool pays accepted work; the why-hashrate-differs article explains the gap). Also weigh the developer fee each miner charges, printed in its documentation, since it comes straight off your earnings.

Wherever you download, verify

Get miners only from each project's official releases, check the published checksum, and expect your antivirus to flag the download (the antivirus article explains why and how to exclude it safely). Then start from the How to Mine page's generated command: it already carries the right algorithm, your region and your address.
